Activator crystals are intended for use with the Magic Plate. The bowl comes with a scoop and is sufficient for around 10 applications. Depending on the quantity and condition of the jewel, we recommend 1 to 2 spoonfuls per session, more if necessary.
Procedure to follow :
Place the Magic cleaning plate in a non-metallic bowl and pour in enough hot water to cover all the jewelry to be cleaned
Add 1-2 spoonfuls of activator crystals and allow to dissolve
Immerse all items to be cleaned in the water, making sure they are in contact with the plate, either directly or via another item
Watch the tarnish disappear (usually in about 30 seconds)! Stir occasionally. Use a brush to remove any stubborn tarnish or dirt. Do not leave in solution for more than 2-3 minutes.
Remove items, rinse with plenty of water and dry with a cloth
Clean the Magic plate thoroughly with water, dry with a cloth and store in its original packaging for future use
To clean bronze, copper or brass, add a large cupful of lye with Activator crystals.
