The Garrett Goldmaster® 24k (originally produced by White’s Electronics) is a gold nugget detector with high-frequency induction compensation.
The GM24k has a 54% increase in disk voltage compared to the previous White’s GMT model, resulting in increased sensitivity to small nuggets.
During the tests of this machine in Brazil, a tiny crystalline nugget of 0.4 grain found enclosed in quartz demonstrated it.
In some cases, this power can be difficult in heavily mineralized soil areas. Even at lower gain settings, the GM24k is an extremely “powerful” machine for detecting small gold nuggets and specimens.
Experienced prospectors know that increasing sensitivity is not enough to increase the chances of success. The ability of the machine to track and cancel the ground effect is often the biggest challenge encountered in gold prospecting. That’s why the Goldmaster® 24k features a special ground tracking system called the Xtreme Ground Balance (XGB).
The system works with several ground points to ensure stable operation. The GM24k also features a cancellation of iron and hot rocks in both audio modes, which further extends the range into the ground for quiet operation on more challenging terrain.
When nuggets are rare, prospectors sometimes have more success during ramp washing, gold panning or dry washing. The GM24k’s sweep function can help track and successfully detect black sand or other mineral deposits in stream beds, dry minerals or even underground (where backlighting is useful).
Other key features such as the variable self-regulating threshold (vSAT), ground resistance entry, Locked Tracking and adjustable audio options help users configure the device as they wish, depending on soil conditions and personal preferences.
Prepare to find gold nuggets with this high-frequency induction gold detector from Garrett.
